With a lifelong passion for agriculture and the meat industry, Sam’s journey began in his father’s cattle marketing business in Southern East Australia. He pursued his academic interests by studying Agricultural Science at the University of Melbourne, which provided him with a strong foundation for his future career.
In 1997, Sam officially entered the meat industry as a junior management cadet, starting his career as a meat packer. Over the years, he immersed himself in various essential roles, including livestock yards, slaughter floors, boning rooms, cold stores, and quality assurance departments. This comprehensive experience equipped him with invaluable industry knowledge and skills, which paved the way for his sales position in 2000.
Sam’s career took an international turn in 2004 when he relocated to the USA to work for an importer/processor in Boston, Massachusetts. In 2008, he joined JBS Imports in a sales and category management capacity. During his tenure at JBS, he has played a critical role in expanding the business across diverse retailers and distribution channels for imported beef and lamb. Recently, Sam was promoted to Sales Director for JBS Imports.
Beyond his impressive professional achievements, Sam's enthusiasm for the meat industry continues to thrive. His journey, which started as a young boy in Australia, remains driven by a dedication to excellence and growth in the agricultural sector.
